Introduction
Stackd is a social income-tracking app that lets entrepreneurs and freelancers share their earnings with trusted groups. We built Stackd to help people stay motivated and accountable. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use Stackd, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Data We Collect
When you create an account and use Stackd, we collect the following information:
- ·Email address: used for authentication and account recovery.
- ·Username: your display name visible to other group members.
- ·Profile information: optional avatar photo and short bio.
- ·Income posts: the amounts, business types, notes, and optional screenshots you share with your groups.
- ·Group memberships: the groups you create, join, or administer.
- ·Device push token: used to send push notifications you have opted into.
- ·Crash and error logs: diagnostic data about app crashes and errors to help us identify and fix bugs.
How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect to:
- · Provide and operate the Stackd service.
- · Display your income posts to members of groups you belong to.
- · Send push notifications for group activity that you have opted into.
- · Improve reliability, fix bugs, and develop new features.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we never sell your personal information to third parties.
Data Sharing
We use Supabase as our backend infrastructure provider. Supabase stores your data securely on our behalf. We also use a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics service to understand aggregate, anonymized usage of our website and app. It does not receive your income posts or other personal account data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information with anyone, and we share data with these providers only to the extent needed to operate Stackd.
Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls that limit who can see your information. Your income posts are only visible to members of the groups you choose to share them with. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International Data Transfers
Stackd is operated from Canada, and our infrastructure providers may store and process your data on servers located in other countries. By using Stackd, you understand that your data may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions with different data-protection laws than your own. We take steps to ensure your data remains protected wherever it is processed.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as you maintain an active Stackd account. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed, including your profile, income posts, comments, likes, and group memberships. This deletion is immediate and cannot be reversed.
Your Rights
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, and to withdraw your consent to our use of it. You can update most of your information directly in the app, and you can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab by tapping Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and removes all your data from our systems.
You can turn off push notifications at any time in your device settings. To make any other request about your data, contact us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Data Breach Notification
If we become aware of a security breach that creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law, and we will tell you what steps we are taking in response.
Children's Privacy
Stackd is not directed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact support and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the app or by email. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.

Agreement
By using Stackd, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Stackd is provided by the team behind joinstackd.app.
Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for all activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Stackd, and at least the age of majority in your country to subscribe to Pro.
Acceptable Use
Use Stackd to track and share your real income with people you actually know. Do not use Stackd to harass, dox, scam, or deceive other users. Do not post other people's earnings, illegal income, or content that violates the law.
We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these rules.
Subscription
Some features require a paid Stackd Pro subscription. Billing is handled by Apple through the App Store. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID settings, and you keep Pro access until the end of the current period. Prices may change, and we will give notice of any change before it takes effect. Refunds, where applicable, are handled by Apple under its terms.
Apple App Store
Stackd is distributed through the Apple App Store. This agreement is between you and Stackd only, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Stackd, and any claims relating to the app are between you and Stackd. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.
Content Ownership
You own the content you post. By posting it to Stackd, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit it to the group members you choose to share with. We do not claim ownership of your data.
Your Content & Copyright
You are solely responsible for everything you post to Stackd, including amounts, notes, images, and screenshots. By posting content, you represent and warrant that you own it or have all rights, licenses, and permissions necessary to share it, and that your content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person or company.
Do not post content you do not have the right to share. This includes copyrighted images, screenshots of third-party platforms you are not authorized to share, trademarks, or other protected material. Any liability arising from content you post is yours, not Stackd's. We are not obligated to monitor content, but we may remove any content at our discretion.
Copyright Complaints
We respect intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same. If you believe content on Stackd infringes your copyright, email us at support@joinstackd.app with: a description of the work you claim is infringed, where the infringing content appears on Stackd, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized.
We will review valid notices and remove or disable access to infringing content where appropriate. We may terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.
Availability of the Service
Stackd is offered on an ongoing but not guaranteed basis. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we do not promise that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We are not liable for any loss resulting from downtime, maintenance, or changes to the service.
Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback about Stackd, you grant us the right to use them freely and without obligation to you. We may build on your feedback to improve the service without owing you compensation or credit.
No Financial Advice
Stackd is a social tool. Nothing in the app or on this site is financial, tax, investment, or legal advice. Make your own decisions or talk to a qualified professional.
Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
Stackd is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Stackd team is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to Stackd is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Stackd team from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to the content you post, your use of Stackd, or your violation of these terms or the rights of any third party.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Stackd at any time if you violate these terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to other users or to Stackd. You may stop using Stackd and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including content responsibility, indemnification, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, will continue to apply.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising from these terms or your use of Stackd will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will stay in full force and effect. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, make up the entire agreement between you and Stackd regarding your use of the service.
